Weather today and for the next two days at the main stations and posts of the Zone. Figures for the mountain posts are worked out from the nearest main station, allowing for height (6.5° for every 1,000 m).

Observation network

The Service keeps four main weather stations, at Talas, Nurzhan, Iyık Janyl and Tash-Kömür. Mountain posts stand on State Route 1, at Aksay and at Otmek, and district posts at Kyzyl-Adyr, Toktogul, Bazar-Korgon and Boz-Korgon. The observatory on Manas Peak shares its weather and snow readings with the Service. The Kök-Döbö radar near Nurzhan watches rain and snow over the Chu valley.
